Well I usually don't like this guy but he does good work here after this douche list the Saints as a team that needs to relocate.

Look what this douche Buck Stanton wrote:

quote:

9. New Orleans Saints

The team’s on-field success after Hurricane Katrina was a nice story, one that the networks and other media outlets jumped all over, but the fact of the matter is that the Big Easy is no longer a NFL-caliber city. If the league was expanding, would they ever consider today’s New Orleans, devoid of businesses and population that have yet to return post-Katrina, as a viable option? Nope.

REALLY???? What an idiot!!! Garic tears him a new one though, go read for yourself

Garic earned some respect from me on that.

the guy that wrote the article is absolutely clueless. he makes Jeff Duncan look like a Pulitzer winner.

Writer of the original article is a moron.

What's more surprising to me than NOLA being in the list here is Atlanta NOT being there.. There is NO support from the people of this city for the team. The team is literally having its greatest years ever (much like us) and yet there are almost no fans here. The support is awful. This city has no loyalty. Seeing a car with a bumper sticker is a rare sight, and even then, the people who do represent almost never actually watch games during the regular season. Going even deeper - the people who do watch games have no idea what they're talking about because they didn't bother watching the sport at all until the last few years.

I realize I harbor extra hate for the Falcons a. Being a saints fan; and b. being from here; but it really is pathetic. A lot of cities would die for a moderately successful team like the current Falcons.

He says the NFL wouldn't consider NOLA if it were expanding, but what 9 markets out there that don't have a team would be better? LA is obvious. Vegas maybe, but that will never happen. After that, I can't think of any great markets devoid of a team until you start going out of the US.

Funny because its hosted more NFL events than any other city ever.

quote:

would they ever consider today’s New Orleans,

yes

quote:

devoid of businesses

wrong. Its one of the best growing places for business

quote:

and population

also one of the best growing places re: young business people

Thanks for the rebuttal Garic. You're smarter than you look

Kristian Garic did this guy a favor by even mentioning it/writing about it. Sometimes things are just dumb enough to not even worry about or respond to.

New Orleans has been a very supportive fanbase even in the worst of seasons.
You move a team like that to LA - they will only show up to support winners.
