I am all for paying players... just not within the ncaa format. If players want to make money in the time between HS and the NFL then someone needs to convince the NFL to create a minor leagues.
Paying players at the ncaa level is just one of the dumbest ideas in the world.

Not a terrible idea. But 90% of CFB players will never see an NFL contract. The bulk of the players go get a free education and move on with life after football.
The minor league would be pretty small and honestly most of the players would be getting such a small amount they'd rather go get a free education.
