Freeman needed to be benched and Glennon could easily suck more. But Tampa is in a lost season and letting Glennon (barring inj) play out the season gives the Bucs a chance to see if he 1) is capable 2) can grow/learn.

Glennon was terrible in the preseason, but Freeman is terrible in the regular season and a lame duck.

If by seasons end Glennon is terrible, the Bucs know they need a QB in the draft. Freeman is gone pecan anyway and Glennon can be the backup. If Glennon shows promise, the Bucs can then have options for the draft.
