Just watched last night's show, agree getting better.

Only thing I wish is that they would not do the formula of "a problem at beginning of show, problem solved by the end of show".

"Revolution" did this formula and it didn't work (IMO). There is a grander story (like Revolution), but solving mini stories each episode just makes it seem like a cheaply written show.

I wish they would take a story line like "LOST". At least this show ended with a teaser, but I want more story carry over.

It's the old model of building an audience, I think. Progress the big arcs very slowly at the beginning while building the characters episodicly so that you can easily catch people up that may have missed the first couple episodes but heard that the show was good.

I think it's an outmoded model, because it's so easy to just go back and watch the shows to catch yourself up now. But we all know that networks are very slow to change.

It sometimes happens on cable too. Justified was very episodic/villain of the week for the first part of season 1.
