Last year a company advertised with Tigerdroppings offering a tailgating package that included tent, table, tv, and chair set up and removal for each home game. My company decided that this would be something that we would like to do. Most of the people we tailgate with have small children and it is hard to get enough people to the game early enough to set everything up. Most of us drive in from Calcasieu Parish on game day.

The tailgate each week was a big success. It also made it much easier to bring clients to the games. Subsequently we renewed for this year. This year a different company advertised with Tigerdroppings for the same service. We were already booked with the company from last year and were more than happy with their service.

Fast forward to last night, two days before the Auburn game I get a letter from the company I'm renting from stating that LSU Sports Properties says they are breaking tailgating rules and won't be allowed to set up for the Auburn game. Today there are letters and phone calls sent back and forth between LSU and the tailgating company. It looks like that the tailgating company will be asked to leave campus and will be arrested if they do not leave.

This leaves my company in a bind as we don't have enough time to pull together a tailgate in this amount of time. So I have to tell everyone that we have invited including clients that we will not be able to tailgate tomorrow.

I still haven't told you about the power of advertising on Tigerdroppings. Wondering if only the company we were using had received this letter we contacted the second company that offers this service and they stated that they still had a few single game packages left and we could get on their waiting list for next year. They are still able to set up tomorrow for the Auburn game. So advertising the first year with TD got the business going and not advertising with TD the second year got the business stopped.

TLDR: Always advertise with Tigerdroppings and for continued success keep advertising with Tigerdroppings.

I'm thinking about advertising catering packages.

Sorry about that story bro. Sounds pretty bad. What happened? They just didn't want you guys around? Were any policies violated?

Hope you get a refund

They probably do not donate to LSU or TAF.

I'm sure there is more to the story. My guess is said company made enough money that once word got back to LSU they put the screws to him about being a vendor on campus. Then it turned out this guy didn't have the proper paper work or go through the proper avenues to be a vendor on campus. Just think if the company put up Pepsi signs or had a Pepsi tent. Do you think that wouldn't raise red flags?

It's a shame every thing has been regulated, promulgated, orchestrated into only the haves can what they want and the common people can't have a piece. This all of course has nothing to do with TD but more with society in general these days.

I posed this question for the advertisers of a similar service on here....they assured me that they had cleared it with LSU...I don't understand how they can profit off renting space that's not theirs to rent...they either have friends in the LSP or haven't been caught yet.

I don't know what or why LSU is doing it but if they are barring all tailgate companies at LSU that's kind of lame. My GF is an ole miss alum and when I went to the Texas game last year they had tons of people working for these companies setting up. Seemed like great deal. After having set up tailgates every week during my college career it sounded nice to just show up and party.
