re: San Francisco and Carmel Dining Suggestions

Great (sad) story about Pacific Edge. My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary there in 1995, with a table by the window, It was outstanding and when I asked for the check, the waiter said someone else paid for us. Knowing that no one else knew we were there and with a $250 bill, I insisted on the waiter telling us so I could thank them. He came back a few minutes later and said he had made a mistake - it was supposed to be for the table next to us. Last time I insist on knowing. They did comp our dessert (LOL).
