I lived right next door the the DKE house for 4 years. We watched those a$$holes shoot Santa Claus with a blank gun in front of crying orphans at their annual Orphan xmas party(he then tumbled down the stairs and lay dead on the floor).
It became a tradition. They had pledges break their neck diving into a toxic shite hole (yep,they took turns taking a dump in it)in the back yard during rush.They hang dead animals from their christmas tree. I can say with some certainty ...there are truly some deranged individuals in that fraternity. They are still looking for attention. The sign just wasn't cool CP.

I swear we've become a nation where the overly sensitive touchy feely types hide behind bushes in anticipation of being offended.
As an LSU grad I'm more concerned that the sign wasn't very clever than from its inappropriateness.

If you have to ask, then you just don't get it. They used the unnecessary slaughter of college students as a joke. Not very funny, especially if one of those killed at Kent State was a family member.
Hopefully good taste will prevail and there will not be a sign this week making a joke about the Washington Naval Yard murders.

If you have to ask, then you just don't get it. They used the unnecessary slaughter of college students as a joke. Not very funny, especially if one of those killed at Kent State was a family member.

I didn't see much northern umbrage at the Katrina jokes on signs and stuff back in 05/06 and still to this day.

a lot of people don't know or don't remember the same thing happened at Southern about '71 ('72?). several students shot and several killed. there was very little publicity compared to the kent state shootings. both were national guard killings.

It happened in the 70's and was done by the Ohio national guard. Maybe they should still be pissed at their own state.

People constantly saying we are idiots for living where hurricanes hit. Everyone in his country lives where a natural disaster can affect them.
