Good morning gents...

My first post / first thread. I welcome the friendship and the jokey jokes...

MY first LSU / Auburn game was the earthquake game.

1. Got tossed from game w/ a few friends after a bit of a disagreement with some Cow Patty U douches who wouldn't stop throwing shite.

2. We watched the last drive with around 100 other Tiger fans on a TV near an entrance (the noise after Eddie's catch was mind numbing)

3. After the game we were behind the Golden Girls Bus (a few many too many Natty Lights), we smacked the back end of the bus and a minute later around 10 Golden Girls were checking out the damage. It was awesome...

4. Ever since, LSU /AU has been awesome (minus Jamie Howard, the penalty on the holding after an extra point, etc...)

Adios Muchos

2003.

Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown were supposed to run all over us. They didn't.

Not the first one, but the one that's burned into my mind is five interceptions in the 4th quarter..

I can't remember the ones when I was in school because we sucked and I was obliterated. The first one I remember that I saw in person was the "bring back the magic game".

Not my first, but I was only 6 when I started having season tickets in 1998. So really 2001 was my first true LSU vs Auburn experience. Game had been held back because of Sept. 11 and it just so happened to be a winner take all, a chance to face the Tennessee Vols in the SEC Title. Huge win for LSU, probably one of the more overlooked monumental wins in recent history.

Dad took me to Tiger Stadium in 1980. Don't remember a whole lot other than we won and me thinking they had a funny name for a school. I was six years old.

I was also at the game in 88. I've never experienced an explosion of noise and excitement like that before. There were times since then that it's gotten close, but words can't describe the moment that night. Thing is, the game was boring up to that point, much like our game against Florida in 09. Except we couldn't buy a score at all until the final drive. We were in the same seats I'm in now, north end zone.

My first...the Earthquake game. My Frosh year. Offensively, one of the most boring games I've ever attended, but it was the most intense defensive nail biter I've ever watched in person. The end was an explosion of elation and noise. I was all-in FOREVER for LSU & LSU football after that moment!

Old School, 1972, Baton Rouge, Saturday night, Pat Sullivan, Heisman winner in 71, came to Death valley and lost big. Crowd was into it that game too, I was 13 and it was a great game. Sat in the south end zone sideline seat, upper deck, seats my father still has to this day. Good Times.

My first Auburn game was in 2001 when it was moved to the last game of season due to 9/11. The game was for the SEC west championship. Great game. I remember us doing an onside kick to either start game or start 2nd half. We won the game and I believe people rushed the field. Oh how far we've come

LSU Auburn 1997

Never thought I would see a team rush for almost 400 yards and lose.

Freshman year, 1980. Played Auburn for homecoming.Along with Alabama, Auburn was predicted as one of the choices for pre-season SEC champion. But a few weeks earlier Tennessee came to Jordan-Hare and crushed them, 42-0. Still, Auburn was loaded but had issues.

The 1980 LSU team was one of the scrappiest,up and down teams we've ever had.Finished Sept 2-2 with a home shutout loss to Florida State and a shocking loss to Rice in Houston. But LSU upset #20 Florida, 24-7 in Gainesville the week before.

Going back and forth the whole game, LSU led 21-17 with under a minute left and faced 4th down on the LSU 20.Auburn sent the house and blocked the punt and had first and goal at the 12.Auburn had a good running game, but elected to throw on every down and a guy named Byron Franklin dropped a wide open pass. Finally on 4th and goal with approx :20 left,Auburn's Joe Sullivan (Pat's little brother) threw one that Marcus Quinn jumped about 11 feet in the air and snagged and kept running before he was bumped out of bounds around midfield. The crowd on Auburn's last possession was deafening and when Quinn secured in the interception the stadium was off the charts. Risher hit a knee and the game was over.

was in the West Bleachers for the Earthquake Game. But the best part was I was sitting with my uncle who was on the 58 team. He is now gone, but I can stop and touch his name on the the plaque on west entrance and take his memory with me every game.
