You had fresh Pliny? I had it straight from RR last week and not sure there is a better dipa on the planet.

I agree, 2nd favorite DIPA with Heady taking first. It's a fantastic beer, and the freshest I ever had it was only a month

We had a fresh one tonight (courtesy of the Emissary of the FBD BXN) and some of us commented that it is better than Pliny. I like it better than Pliny because of the bright, clean, fresh hops in the nose.

Yes I went to RR brew pub in feb and had it there. It was very very good. This double jack is just a nip better to me...less than a month old...I open the bottle and my nose is greeted with a hop blast but it is a full bodied DIPA with hop. Ridiculousness

I wasn't too impressed with any of the FW I had last week. I brought home a bottle of the Reserve series double DBA tho that i plan on aging.

I've had Pliny on tap at RR and I've had numerous fresh bottles (I had a bomber on 7/24 that was bottled 7/22) and I like Double Jack a little better. Pliny is amazing, but I like the fresh hoppy nose of DJ and that makes me give it the nod.

Hopslam is my personal favorite dipa but I think Pliny is a better made beer.

Anyways on to pumpkin beer

It's cool. English pub in Old Metairie. Change of pace from my normal haunts. I'm here by myself reading a book and watching the game. Good music on. Couple of babes. Nice little Thursday.
