Isn't that why all movies are made? It is taking an already known part of the Universe, in this case an already published book that exists in our world and in the HP Universe and shows the story of how that book was written in the HP universe. Its a brilliant idea actually.

Motion Picture studios are part of business, not charities. They exist for the sole purpose of separating you from your cash.
