Try Canebrake and Envie by Parish Brewing Company. LA-31 also has a few good ones as well. You can get either of these brands almost anywhere. Marcello's for sure. Probably Albertson's as well.

When I was going to USL, I spent an entire afternoon in the store one day getting a free, impromptu lesson on wine. The white-haired guy with the mustache and real thick Italian/Brooklyn/New Orleans(???) accent saw me looking at wine and said,"Hey kid, whatchoo lookin fah?" I told him I wanted to take some wine to a date's house. He said,"Whatchoo eatin' wit dat wine?" I looked at him puzzled and said "I dunno..." He shook his head and said "Son, let's talk about wine a little bit."

don't waste the OPs money. frick those people.

ETA: to the OP. grab a 6pack of canebrake and a 6pack of Envie and go home. as Salmon said, if you can, swing by the brewery in Broussard and have a few things on tap. They're releasing Dr Hoptagon this week in the taproom. we don't have shite that you don't get and our local beers are mediocre at best.
