Did Apolline last night and really enjoyed myself.
I avoided the RW menu as it was pretty meh.
My group ordered: (ETA) pics added
Smoked Crab Tacos. They were delicious, had a touch of paprika or something to add the smokeyness. It was a pleasant start.
Dirty Duck Balls. Had them before and they were also very good, the sauce it's served with is worth home replication.
Beef Carpaccio. It was well prepared and had an excellent color. The greens on top were drizzled with a little oil which really set the whole plate off.
Entrees: I had dinner with what amounts to two 14 year olds.
One friend ordered the scallop dish, she really enjoyed it. The scallops seemed to be good size and had a nice sear that I prefer.
The other friend ordered the Kansas City Strip. I've never seen it on the menu before, if I missed it I would never order it. It seemed fine and my friend devoured it as if it was his last meal.
I ordered the Lamb Osso Bucco, it was phenomenal. Only issue was the outside parts were a tad overcooked. It wasn't bad but harsher texture then I'm used to with OB. The sauce was great and once you reached the center you were in heaven.
Great all around experience, as the food and service was first rate.
I did order a gimlet that I didn't care for but my old fashion was on point.
