I was concerned with some of the big plays given up last night and there were time when the UAB blew our guys off of the line...
then I watched the replay on CST and realized that they subbed in tons of freshmen and had all of the starters out at times as early as the second quarter!

UAB has a talented offense and the starting D held them to around 4 yards while they were in early. Happy that the staff is using these games to build depth! I really like this team.

Yeah, staff is definitely trying to get these second-string guys a bunch of playing time since they have practically none already.

There is no doubt this was an evaluation game not only for the young guys but the starters too. Les even hinted to this earlier in the week

i'm glad you feel better. i'm still very concerned abut our defense. i think chavis better have his best year as a coach. we lost too many juniors. people discount this but i don't. imagine what the d would like like if we had just 2 or 3 of the juniors we lost. now, our lb's and our db's are in disarray on some plays. i just thank god our offense has finally arrived.

They gave up 10 total yards to UAB in the 1st quarter. Dominating them until the score was 28-0.

People are freaking out because UAB had one good quarter, but forget to realize they were shut down the rest of the game.

So was TCU for the most part. Two fumbles and a kickoff return account for close to 50 percent of the points given up in the first two games.

If freakin' UAB. No need to pull an oregon on them and go full throttle 77-0

The last two years our defense made our offense go. This year's D does not have enough Dline depth. We need the offense to eat clock. If we lose this year it will be when our O has a few 3 and outs and our D just gives way due to fatigue.
