Dont listen to them saying you need it lined with sheet metal. I built my own and just line it with heavy duty aluminum foil each time i use it. It makes cleanup super easy.
The one i built i can take apart in a couple minutes and it stacks flat. Takes up little room to store. I use it to cook whole pigs but its really only pratical if you are cooking a large amount of food.

Thats mainly my concern with a used one. How well was it cleaned the one or two times it was used.

I bought this one fro $100 from a dude on False River. It has been kicking for years and finally has landed at pooponsaban's house. Lining it with foil is adequate, but having it metal lined is betta.

Cajun microwaves seem so inefficient to me.

I cooked a 40 plus pound pig in three hours. That's inefficient?

Who were all the people at your house with right handed rings?

yeah, they are very inefficient. Most heats goes up, a bit radiates down to the meat. Basically a conversation piece, that cooks very slowly. Nice on a cold day when you can cook, warm up by the fire, and get shitfaced. Kinda sucks in September when it is 100 degrees outside though.

You talking about this one in particular or in general?

I'd like to know which much more efficient method he uses to cook something as big as a pig.
The idea that "a little heat" radiates down is silly. I guess broiling is also very enneficient.
For the last time. A 40 lb. pig cooked with 20 lbs of charcoal in 3 hours seems pretty damn efficient.
