Most obscure band/artist you're a big fan of?

Not just like but really like.
I've always been quite partial to Veruca Salt.

They had a big hit in the mid 90s. Not really huge but certainly not obscure.

I guess it depends on your definition. Even at the time I felt like they were not really that well known at all. I think the biggest tour they ever did was opening for Bush

I'd call them a one hit wonder. A really obscure band would be a no hit wonder.

I guess Dirty River Boys would fit the bill for me

I Am Ghost. I don't recall them ever having any type of hit. But the music is fantastic

ok fine they aren't obscure

All my favorite rockbands are coming out of Sweden so everyone I listen to is pretty much obscure. My favorite at the moment is Hardcore Superstar, they kinda got a ol school GNR vibe to them.

Probably The Mermen, but a more recent one that edges the line right now is Howler. Getting bigger, but not many have heard of them.

Charlie Hager and the Captain Legendary Band. Great live shows, and good studio efforts. From Texas, but play a lot in Louisiana because they got their start at LSU.
Max Stalling is semi-obscure on the Texas Country scene, but a damn good songwriter/singer who deserves more recognition.

Probably The Gourds. They make zero sense but I love em

Acid Bath - outside of 30-40 year olds from S Louisiana they're not very well known. Too bad they haven't been a band since the 90's.
KMFDM - Perhaps not so obscure at one point in time, but they've certainly fallen off the radar considering they're still together after over 30 years and 18+ albums.
Ladytron - love the sound, not very well known outside of the older electronica crowds.

I know Acid Bath songs and I'm a junior in college from Alabama that is for the large part a country/folk/bluegrass guy. But I probably heard of them here first I'm sure.

eh.. I figured AB would get that response on this board. Having lived in the North East and on the West Coast I can tell you they're not very well known...

Avantasia and Dream Theater.

I started to say Modest Mouse, but my sarcasm is rarely picked up on on TD.

I am still waiting on the Phish reply.
