Most UF fans (me included) believe that he normally dogs UF WAY to much, sounds like he tries to hard to separate himself from UF.
I think the way he calls a game in pretty legit. For the most part he doesn't sugar coat things. If someone is sucking he doesn't hesitate to call them out. (That being said I'm at work and not watching tonight's game so I don't know how he is tonight)

I think he's still upset about the Bachelor, he thought he was signing up for the show where the winner would become an acutal ESPN anchor for 1/2 year before being canned to bring back Holtz for 6 million/year.

He just rambles on needlessly about every little thought that he has.
Glad I'm not the only one. Must depend on how you're wired.
It's funny because I really like him on CFB Live or other analytical segments, but not as a color guy. I can't stand him as a color guy.
