He's trying to keep the confidence of his team up and make them feel like they are at LSU's level, whether we think it's an accurate depiction of the game events is irrelevant, its purely a move to keep the team attitude moving forward. He's not going to roll over in his press conference to appease LSU fans so they feel more satisfied with their win.
ETA: He's trying to compliment his own guys' effort and make them feel good about the game despite the L.
LSU doesn't need TCU to confirm they're a good team. Y'all sound whiny.

Patterson is complimentary towards LSU throughout the whole video. I think some of these knuckleheads are commenting without even bothering to watch the damn thing.

TCU had 13 first downs. They could not stop us in the last 5 minutes from running out the clock. They are well-coached, and a decent team, but they are not at LSU's level.

You realize he is referencing the two turnovers. A KOR fumble on the 10 which LSU scored on and a INT on yyhe first play after KO on the 34 which LSU scored on too, right?

I'm not saying that anyone is right, but when people say they "gave someone points" it pisses me off to high heaven. Unless they intentionally got a safety you don't "give away points" you may put them in a favorable position, but that team still has to execute. And don't say a turnover inside the RZ is automatic points, I'm sure UGA thought that about a short FG Saturday night. TCU and LSU made some mistakes and they both capitalized on them. No one "gave away points."

If you are looking for something to get upset about, I guess you could nitpick that interview. But if you watched the whole thing, he was very complimentary of LSU. Of course he's going to talk about what his team left out there just like we talk about what we left out there.
But I guess I shouldn't be surprised that people would bash the opposing coach if he didn't suck our dicks the entire interview. Insecure fans.

I would, but honestly with the amount that dude was sweating in AC I think he wouldn't last more than 2-3 seasons before he'd stroke out.
