Don't give notice until you are cleared to start....
If you truly have an issue and need the 2 weeks, speak with their HR and let them know that you'd like your start date to be 2 weeks after you are cleared.
Any respectable employer will afford you that

When you give your notice, your current employer may tell you to hit the road that day. But you should still plan for two weeks.
