more people like it than Supes Returns.

And the only thing you have to prove that people prefer Man of Steel is a viewer rating if people liked that one movie or not.

If we trusted viewer ratings, then how the hell does this happen.

But how could that be? Star Trek: Into Darkness has a 91% viewer rating.

Apparently not.

as for the Star Trek movies...it was ranked at a Star Trek convention. The same source of the article
One Trek Mind led the survey-which named the woman captain as the "best" captain...in part because Picard was too much like Spock

what the writer had to say about results of survey:

quote:

Now, just because something has to come in last doesn't make it a bad film. Somebody has to bring up the rear! But others in the press (see Hollywood Reporter) felt the need to stir up some controversy.

Personally, I like the fact that we have Khan bookending the list here. As far as the inclusion of Galaxy Quest, it was none other than Denise and Mike Okuda who came to the mic to vouch for it. I'm okay with it on the list, as it really does represent the spirit of Star Trek, as well as being a love letter to the fans.

Before I move off this topic, I'll give my stock response when asked about Star Trek Into Darkness. The film has tremendous casting, dynamite action sequences and is propulsive and fun.

Bottom line is that STID was a film that Trekkies hated because it was basically a remake of the Wrath of Khan-which was #1 on the list. RT's rating is more indicative of the world at large-not the hardcore Trek fan. RT is neither a Trekkie nor comic fan site.(FWIW-I liked it and thought it was the best "summer" movie of 2013)

Where MoS intersects with this is that most comic fans preferred MoS to SR and by every metric-the broader audience preferred it to SR.SR is a movie that will never have the love from hardcore fans and the audience disliked it enough that they rebooted the entire series.

Also- the owner of that page writes reviews on RT-he gave MoS an A-.

So you use an arbitrary ranking list made by a bunch of pissed off nerds at the Star Trek Convention? Brilliant.

Because it was done by Trekies, and the Trekies are pissed they made a Star Wars set in the Star Trek universe.

More irrelevant drivel.

Again, let me know when you have ANYTHING that supports your pathetic argument that more people liked Supes Returns.

I won't hold my breath.
