It's so funny how Tulane fans simply don't get it.

How many fans do they have? Couple thousand?

I can agree with that.

Tulane, it's casual i feel because I don't want to watch games in the super dome and it is hard to watch on tv because they're usually not on TV. With coach johnson, the new stadium and host of other factors, I've gotten more and more into it. Last year, I got to watch about half of the games. I really thought we had tulsa dead to rights after the first few series, then the defense and special teams and eventually the offense collapsed. It was a nightmare. When RG came back, we were putting up points in bunches but the defense was just getting beat the frick up.

Does it make you mad that I got my undergrad degree at Tulane but remained a loyal lsu fan during and after my time there?

Can I not be a fan of both programs?

I also am from monroe Louisiana, so I like to root for ULM athletics. Am I wrong for that as well?

I guess I'm just a complete retard for being fans of all three of those schools.

Also by the time my schooling is done, I will have taken at least a year of classes at each. Who am I a true can of? I don't even know anymore

That's easy mate, just continue to conveniently be a fan of whichever school is winning at the time.

True of any school. LSU just has a lot more of those fans than a lot of schools.

At least it relieves me of the delusion of thinking Tulane and ulm are better than they actually are

LSU is imbedded in the culture of Louisiana. Most LSU fans have been fans since birth. You're not going to all of a sudden abandon that and go with another team if you don't attend LSU.

I was born and raised in Baton Rouge so I'm naturally an LSU fan. But I root for all Louisiana teams to do as well as they can.

Hopefully he's improved since UW. I wish him good luck though.

LSU - a school. football and other athletic programs are an offshoot of school pride. To have school pride, I think you should have some affiliation with the university beyond "i gots a cousing that goes there."

Affiliation is a loose term. Lsu has 100's of thousands of alumni (former students and graduates), not counting thousands of employees, vendors, suppliers, etc. Plus your numbers are way off. There are closer to 150,000 people at a Lsu game. Just 90 actually attend the games..

Not nearly as good of a name as Johnny Utah, but I guess he'd make a good undercover agent.

You would think that with the anti-bandwagon sentiment of this board, you'd see some backlash against sidewalk alumni...

It's easy to be an LSU fan in LA. It takes a bit more to pull for the underdog.

Tulane has some name recognition going with the Marley's and the Montana's. Anyone know if this will be on TV (ESPN 3, or FSSW maybe)?

Not on TV, I think CST may replay it some time later this week.

You can probably find it online though.

If going to LSU is requirement to be fan shouldn't you have to be an angel to be a Saints fan?
