The Joe McKnight Saga

How different would it be for Joe McKnight had he played for LSU?
Instead he goes to USC , chasing Hollywood dreams and has less than spectacular career, leaves early for NFL, has decent start, but now cut by the lowly Jets. Throw in a little trouble with the law , a few injuries and it appears his goose is cooked?

He would've never been used/used correctly by miles, fans would scream about it every week, his numbers would be very meh, he would've been picked up by somebody like the eagles and then not make the roster.

he wouldn't have played much at LSU IMO. Not a Les Miles type RB.

McKnight is easily the most talked about player in the history of LSU recruiting

USC > LSU, why are LSU fans still hung up on this kid? It's fricking creepy. Obsessed with a 17 year old kid and the grudge still has not faded.

I think he would've had a very similar career at LSU. Flashes of huge potential but not enough substance to fulfill the hype. The worst part would be hearing how we destroyed his career and he would've had a Reggie bush type impact had he taken his talents to south central.... Funny how things work out.

USC was a better choice for him. Oh noz, I could've been russell sheppard! Pete Carrol was an NFL coach, he wanted to play in the NFL and the exposure at USC at the time was the best in the country. It's a free country. He doesn't have some civic obligation to play at LSU.

I wouldn't even begin to speculate on how his football career would have turned out.
But, I would venture to guess his life after football would have been better had he stayed in state.
I guess there's that Broadcast Journalism degree he got from USC to fall back on....
And, at least he left their program on good terms....
Great job opportunities for him to support his family. House sitting for Reggie Bush, maybe?
