I have taken 71 from 190 and gone to Bunkie and gotten on 49 from there. About 3 people use that highway now so you can go about as fast as you want.

We did the Bunkie route once. Too much driving 30 mph.

First and last time doing that.

I-10 in Houston is awful then the drive between Houston and Dallas is dreadful. Your better off flying or SHV to Dal I-20.

The state trooper I met on that road last January disagrees with this.

You can do this but you will be getting a souvenir from the St. Landry SO somewhere in between Krotz Springs and Lebeau if you go as fast as you want. Would not recommend speeding down 71.

b.s. I've gotten tickets on 71.

I agree 190 to i49 to i20.

you will get a speeding ticket near Washington if 5mph over! otherwise 80-84mph most of the way.

also slow down driving thru alec.
