Both in practice and in games so far none of the other ones have looked better all around(and I'd say only Martin has looked better rushing consistently).

Untrue, according to PFF.
Through three Preseason games, PFF has rated 111 3-4 OLB's.
For overall scores, Rufus is 35th, Martin is 62nd, Smith was 79th, and Atkinson and Richardson are in the upper 90's.

Also, both Rufus and Martin are ahead in pass rushing.

He's definitely the best one at stopping the run.

According to PFF, Rufus is our best run-stopping OLB, followed by Atkins and then Smith.

Even if he was our worst cover OLB

Technically, Atkins is, but Smith isn't far behind.

the other guys are at least a slight step down.

The PFF information (at least, as of now) does not support this.

As an addendum, the top rated 3-4 OLB right now is none other than SF's Parys Haralson.

We could REALLY use this guy.

This is skewed a bit because 1) they've played far fewer snaps and 2) that came against 3rd string Olinemen and RBs whereas Smith was playing against the ones.

Plus, while I like their rankings, they don't have a perfect system.

I will admit I'm surprised Johnson is that high though. I'll have to look at his snap counts and how many were runs.
