Is this good? I'm torn.

I didn't want it to happen like this. I wanted him to be able to play for a 4-3 team. That's probably his career. Sucks.

Can this be verified before I text everyone in my phone?

Does the salary of IR players count against the cap? Or is there some sort of discounted amount?
Also this opens up a valuable roster spot for one of the young studs.

Really? Holy shite. Didn't seen bad at all considering he walked off the field on his own.
I guess this means you have to keep someone like Rufus Johnson and/or Eric Martin just to have enough bodies at the position. Crazy how every single potential starter or big time contributor at OLB was injured this preseason.
Good thing the d-line has been so beastly. The defense was still able to produce with guys like Smith and Richardson so that gives me hope. But man, Galette and Wilson need to get back on the field and stay healthy.
Not to be "that guy" but it's surprising to see the media saying how big of bad news this is considering they were all pointing directly at Smith saying how badly he was performing in the new system

I know some have turned him into the running joke on this board but I just don't see how this helps any.
one after another LB's keep getting hurt.
Disgusting.

Played his best yesterday as a LB (made a nice open space tackle), but but he is not a good LB.
Need Junya & Martez to get healthy NOW. Richardson & Adkins are about the only healthy OLB's.

Smith looked a hell of alot better last night than he did the first game. I think eventually teams would game plan to exploit his lack of speed. Might be better in the long run for the team to get younger and faster at the position.

Feel bad for him but as far as the team goes...who gives a shite?
