Writing and story is much tighter on Breaking Bad. I prefer it. Sopranos often had too many story lines going simultaneously for my taste, but some people enjoy that style of story telling.

The Wire is without a doubt the greatest TV show of all time.

I just finished both Seasons of Rome(thanks to my lovely fiancée for getting them for me). They were excellent. I've never watched Sopranos in its entirety just a couple episodes each season here and there. Have never seen an episode of Breaking Bad yet. They are on my list lol.

It's hard to imagine the Breaking Bad ending will be worse than the Sopranos'.

The ending of The Sopranos was perfect.

Ask me after the BB finale. That's where it can pull ahead.

Walter White would have owned Tony Soprano. Blew him up in his therapist's office.

Not sarcasm at all. People who wanted some neat and tidy, literally depicted ending missed the point, imo. BTW, as I recall, David Chase has made it clear that there's not much doubt what the ending is supposed to mean.

i thought david chase just called us all idiots for caring about the ending

and i think BB is better. better characterization and a better connection with walt/jessie

"most hated characters" from both would be a nice fricking debate

Tony is the best character from either series IMO

That wasn't really his point, I don't think. And somewhere, if I can find it, he makes it pretty plain what happened.

Breaking Bad all day.

The Sopranos is good, but not even great.

Many characters on The Sopranos aren't even close to being believable. It's like they're fricking cartoons, how over the top they are.

And the ending sucked, period.

ETA: the or the at the folks saying The Sopranos is better without having seen an episode of BB. Watch the series. Your arse will be blown out.
