I think it showed how nonchalant they were about the massacre that just took place. Also how much Todd idolized Walt, which will come back into play at some point. And it showed them heading back to New Mexico to cook.

I'm assuming Todd is gonna use the equipment from the extermination business to start cooking again. Todd won't be able to make the blue with a high purity though. I'm interested to see how they try to rope Walt back in.
