3 seconds on the clock to spike is bullshite

I don't get that either. They say its to have a reasonable amount of time to run a play, but if I spike it with one second left on the clock then I have time to run a play.

What am i not getting about that.

I read it as "There has to be at least 3 seconds on the clock to snap and spike it", not "Get the spike before 3 seconds on the clock".

So if the clock stops for a first down with 3 or less seconds left, the offense cannot line up and spike it. I can't imagine that if the clock is winding down from say 10 seconds, and the team lines up and spikes at 2, they wouldn't allow that.

You do NOT have time to run another play if there is 1 second on the clock and you spike the ball. No partial seconds in football. Goes from 1 to 0. Any LSU fan should know this!
