I re-use one of the cafe du monde tin containers.
Also throwing coffee in the freezer kills it, especially whole beans.

I beg to differ. Daily espresso drinker, and up to a few weeks in the freezer, I can't tell the difference. Now, if it's been in there forever, it's stale anyway, but that's not the freezer's fault.
