re: Opening weekend of SC deer season

In 40 years of August 15th openers, this weekend was the first where you could wear a long sleeved shirt. Normally it is 98 degrees and you pray for a rain storm to cool things off. This weekend it was in the 70's for highs and just awesome. 5 of us saw 131 deer. My other Godson and I had 5 nice bucks, including a huge 10 point, come in to 45 yards, all in velvet. He missed, but had a great time seeing them up close, and can't wait to go again.
