Hated 50...he couldn't stand in a ring with 80% of the true NY underground it's dog eat dog, yet he sounded more commercial so Dre ran with it

Is he as good as Raekwon, Rakim, Mos Def, Kweli, Sean Price, Guru (R.I.P.), DOOM? NO

He was put on...a lot like Drake...because he sounded commercial

I know bro

They did some work on Ridin Dirty

Aniother reason I'll never say he compares to Dre either is the amt of samples & early on the guys in Death Row ghostwriting lyrics for Dre

Chad always had a group of artists he brought in to play live instruments and make the music, a tactic Raekwon uses a lot today, but he did it first

and he NEVER spoke a lyric he didn't write himself

Been listening to A$AP Ferg's "Trap Lord" album mostly these past few days.

GRODT

I know you'll probably deny it since it wasn't released in the 20th century, but it is what it is.

I love that album to death. It was truly Bun & Pimp at their best.

Only reason I said the "Dr. Dre of the South" quote is because Pimp referred to himself that way.

I take it that you have watched the UGK Underground Kings: Making of the Album DVD.

There was some good behind the scenes, in the studio footage about the making of the album as well as Pimp bringing in artist to add live instruments to his tracks. It really shows how much of a perfectionist Pimp C was when it came down to his beats. The man was a straight beast with that organ!

UGK Feat. N.O. Joe Bumper & Grill

My favorite Pimp C beat of all time! He's got the organ, bass guitar & violin all on point in this track.
