The entire state of Oregon is fricking beautiful (I'm sure it has some shitholes) But it's nice. I'd live there over Cali.

Visiting Oregon was one of the best decisions I ever made. Everyone should go visit their campus once. It's phenomenal. The girls there aren't bad either

The Nike Combat or an alternative uniform for 1 game a year is good enough. We don't need gimmicks. Personally, I think the recruits love our uniforms because they are both traditional and unique. Purple is not a common color and I think that already sets us apart. Our program also happens to be elite. The Tiger Eye at midfield and the mystic of Tiger Stadium are as influential if not more so than uniforms.

1. the all white pro combat uni's should be worn once a year, maybe for homecoming? by far my favorite alternate uni
2. the purple jerseys for home games or at least a few more than what is being used now.
3. I wouldn't mind an alternative gold jersey if it was done right.
4. every other team uses black, but an all black uni with gold rather than purple numbers would be pretty sweet.

Lache Seastrunk told me the ganja is awesome in Eugene, I assume that's why you're in love with the place.

could LSU stand to benefit from a special uni?

We don't need special unis. Our brand is bigger than a uni. Look at the NFL rosters. Teams that try to do this and that to get guys don't win or can't win against great teams. i.e. Oregon

All three of these rotating once every year, would be sick.

I love our purples though and hope we change the white home game uni rule.

If anyone hasn't noticed....we have been fine in recruiting over the last 15 years.

What the frick would we want a black jersey with gold trimmed #s for?

Or gray for that matter?

P&G looks goooood. Did anyone forget that we have one of the best classic ( I suppose we'd call it that, these days) uniforms out there? Why mess with it?

Louisiana is perfectly tucked between the rest of the SEC and Texas. We are the perfect combination of fans, winning and location. That's what recruits look for.

I like the all white pro combat for one home game a year.

The traditional looks suits us better...just my two cents.

If uniforms are 1 of the reasons why a recruit goes to a certain school, i dont want him anyways.

Les Miles on why we landed Fournette, Quinn and Robinson----February 2014:

quote:

Boy, I sure would like to thank Nike and our uniform guys for getting that black uni with the gold trimmed letters. That is what put us over the top for these three guys. In combination with the fans, facilities, and the fact that Tigerdroppings constantly pointed out that Clemson and Ole Miss always pay recruits, the uniforms are why we got these three guys.

Yes it would help recruiting, period. The concensus seems to be one game a year (out of 13 or hopefully 14)do something different. Fun for the fans and kids that play and all traditions are safe and sound.

"Oregon needs something....ever been to Eugene?"

As compared to the majority of SEC towns? I grew up Baton Rouge, went to LSU and love that place, but it certainly isn't a top notch city. Eugene is a college town like the rest, but at least it boast being in Oregon, which is a beautiful state.

Having said that, none of that matters to a recruit.

I like the all blacks

Racist? JK

< Uber lurker here. I love the white combat jerseys, but I do think that black/ gray looks awesome. What if instead of black we have a very dark purple (almost black)? I think that would be sick and we would be still running our colors....

to some it does, but good programs dont change unis, they keep it traditional. See LSU, Bama.

plus the tenn orange is fugly. they dont need new unis, they need new colors so it doesnt look like a bunch of prisoners running around.

Besides, we wear whites at home. thats diff from any team in the country. well at least any team that we recruit against.
