Without a doubt, my favorite group and in my mind the greatest group of musicians, writers, harmonizing voices, and performers ever assembled.

I'm watching a DVD of the Eagles Farewell Tour from Melbourne Australia in November 2004.

If the you're an Eagles fan like I and you don't have the CD/DVD you need to get it.

Great stuff. Now pardon me while I return to the DVD and on my way to getting shite faced.

Hate the Eagles. Hate them almost as much as I hate Aerosmith.

The Eagles are terrible... I used to really like them, but now I can't understand why I ever did.

One of the most overrated bands of all time

Even in my 60s-70s phase in hs I couldn't stand them

Oh, you're talking about the band Eagles. Yeah, they're a bunch of pussies. Joe Walsh is a bad arse guitarist, but they suck. My parents paid like $175 per ticket to see them in Vegas. Lulz.

I like the Eagles but no one comes close to harmonizing like the Bee Gees did.

There was a time that I lived and breathed The Eagles.

I eventually overdosed and burned out on them. Now I only listen now and then.

So, I was sitting at a breakfast restaurant yesterday and "Lyin' Eyes" came over their sound system and I thought of this thread... then my next thought was "make it stop, make it stop!"

Henley's best song, the only one I can still bear to hear, is "Heart of the Matter", but only when it's not the top-40 abbreviated version that leaves out:

I'm learning to live without you now
But I miss you sometimes
The more I know, the less I understand
All the things I thought I knew, I'm learning again

As I've said in a previous thread, that's the best part of the song and it gets cut for airplay.... weird.

I agree with Gram Parsons, who called their music "a plastic dry-frick"
