USMNT goes on a Jim Valvano run that sees them meet Argentina in the final. 50,000 Americans make the trip, 50% of them fly in for the final days when it becomes apparent something special is happening. The dejected home crowd cheering us, not wanting to see their rival win on home soil. It is the most watched World Cup Final in history and the USA, who've been winning in heart attack finishes, crown their run with a shocking 4-0 beat down.
