As for Fields' chances of starting against LSU if, for example, he was appealing the suspension with the school and won, Patterson was unsure. "I don't know," he said. "I don't think so. He's doing everything he has to. He's been embarrassed quite a bit for three months. That's one of the reasons I did it, so I could change him. It's really not my call."

Patterson saw what Les did with Hill, so he might reinstate his star player. I think he may drop the suspension.

So, he ALREADY has a 2 game suspension and now it might be lifted?

Hill has not been suspended for any games, right? They were waiting for the courts to decided. Doesn't look like the same thing to me.

So he's hiding behind the AD?

Didn't he criticize miles for "hiding behind the players"?

I hope he does play. The idea is to try to change the guys who make bad decisions and allow them to learn from it. Neither the media or the fans need to know what goes on behind closed doors from a disciplinary standpoint and I trust that additional discipline is taken in most cases because of the impact it has on the school. Both he and Hill were dismissed for at least 3 months from the football program. During that time, they still had to attend class and meet certain requirements before being reinstated. Once reinstated, remaining with the team is dependent on the decisions the players make going forward.

Nice to see their fricking hypocrite coach letting the guy play after bashing Miles for not suspending Hill. What a clown.
