I don't really know much about auto insurance, I'm currently with State Farm and pay 800$ every 6 months for full coverage.

Am I paying too much or is there anything better out there?

TIA

It all depends on driving record and credit. Shop around for some quotes and see what you get.

I was paying approx $960 every 6 months with AllState and I got it down to $630 with Progressive. Then I drove with the Snapshot device for 5 months and got that number down to $441. Most people hate the Snapshot device but it was sure worth it to me.

I agree with getting USAA for anything you can, assuming he is eligible.

How would we know when we don't know your vehicle, driving history, or the coverages and deductibles you have?

I can tell you you pay less than me. I drive a 2012 F150 crew cab with $500 deductibles and 100/300/100 liability. I'm in Nola, and pay $180/month.
