Romo gets a ton if hate, though I think it's undeserved as he's a really good guy by all accounts. (For the record: I DESPISE the Cowboys and love seeing him fail)
I guess I can see why people would hate Aaron Rodgers but I really like the guy. One of my favorite non-Saints.
As far as players who seem to get a lot if hate:
Jay Cutler and Mark Sanchez come to mind but neither is nearly good or significant enough to be compared to ARod.
TO is the most recent example of an all time great but unlike ARod, he seemed to go out of his way to make people hate him with cries for attention. ARod never seemed to crave attention but rather craves approval and comes off (rightly) as a disingenuous prick. TO seemed more like a classic childish sociopath.

MOss.... Randy MOss.
Most people would sell an arm or leg to have half of that guy's talent.... and he just pissed most of it away.

Da FuK you talkin' 'bout?
Vick was third in the Heisman vote, a 4 time Pro Bowler, he's been on the front of Madden, had his own Nike shoe and at one time was the highest paid player in the NFL.
Haynesworth was the 15th overall pick, a 2 time All Pro and was the highest paid defensive player at one time.

I think you may be confusing pity with hate
Don't hate a-rod don't like him either but i do hate the 24-7 coverage by the media.
I hate any player who celebrates a big hit on a player who just got the 1st down!!!

Steve Smith (Carolina) is the player I hate the most.
I don't see how you can hate the guy.
He's really good at what he does, and he does it consistently, even at his age.
You can't get mad at someone that can beat you in some instances every game while bring everything...skills and emotion.

Andre Johnson
Patrick Willis
And pretty much every LSU Tiger besides JR. I don't hate him though, it's more pitty in his case.

Jeff George was a world class douche. Romanowski (sp?) was a steriod shooting racist. Just to name a couple.

You mean besides those bounty-hunting Saints?
Baseball seems to generate this level of hate more; A-Rod is approaching Barry Bonds levels in both stats and hate. I wonder if the next guy to close on that stat level will also inspire the same venom?
