Best yak for the money is a WS Ride 135. Comes unrigged for $900 but you can get on the water in a decent enough yak for just over $500 for an Ascend or similar model.

Only complaint I have about my ascend is the seat. I have to get out and stand up every hour or so....

I guarantee i'll cover 3-4 times the amount of space in the marsh in my hobie outback (all while a rod n reel is in my hand,) then you can paddling... but I'm not gonna talk about you being but hurt about it.
