There's a way to participate in a discussion and there's a way to participate while still being a douche.
Openly talking about your income/status is fine, but if you make $100k in your 20's you should be smart enough to know that's well above not only your peers but most degree-earning Americans.

Two years ago I was single and made just above 100k. I did anything I wanted and still put tons in the 401k and savings.
Fast forward to today and I'm married with two babies and the same salary. We still live comfortably but I have to pay more attention to the checking account. My house also shrunk dramatically. I'm sweating taking on a larger house note and paying for tuition in a few years.
