I don't mind the new MK, but I do have a few issues that piss me off.
1. The blue shell should still have the ability to hit people between the shooter and 1st place.
2. My most hated change is that the fake item blocks can't be used for defense anymore. Crock of shite.

Lightnings, stars, and spikies are fine, but the new items on MK Wii are ridiculous, and slow you down much more than any item in the first two versions did. All you did was tumble or slow down slightly with MK.

It's kind of give and take with the change. It doesn't hit everyone, but it does do a big prolonged explosion that can hit multiple people and can't be screwed by shooting into a wall.

I don't like this either, but I would be ok with the change if the fake item blocks looked more like real ones to where people would hit them more without you having to place them pretty much inside of a real one for them to work.

The blue shell has gotten even worse since the 64 days. Now it causes an explosion, which takes more than twice the recovery time as it does when hit with a shell, and can take out multiple players as well.

I respectfully disagree, it was the best.
Perfect balance of level design and racing mechanics. You could win using the rubber-band effect items, but needed technical skills to win over the long haul.
Wait, have we even mentioned the awesomeness of balloon battle in MK64?

It took me a while to like battle mode in MK64. Thought it couldn't hold a candle to the SNES. We finally put some time in to it and it was just amazing.

Happens often that shite is going down in the pack then one person makes it out gets out front and then the pack is still beating and banging while the person out front is just driving away with no worries. Nothing to do with shite players, just something that happens and the blue shell nullifies that.
