It's an old model. Called the 1911 for a reason. I say outdated because its forged steel and whatever metals vs. modern polymer guns. From what I hear there can be a lot more malfunctions with the 1911 as opposed to pistols with less parts

Misconception, I've got tens of thousands through mine. No malfunctions.
