I grew up on Bayou Bouef in N.E. La, we used to walk the low water areas and islands as teen-agers and kill the like. We would put a boat paddle against their head, pinning them in the sand and slice a shovel along the paddle decaptiting them. We killed hundreds like this. Good, good times! The largest cottonmouth ever recorded measured just below six feet, at 71 inches long.




I would of guessed way bigger. I have a old polaroid from when I was a teenager of a cotton mouth we killed at a local pond. We never measured it but it was a little bit longer than the truck bed of his dads old 90's Dodge Dakota single cab. I need to find it when I get home tonight.

What kind of snake is that in your avi?

Doubt it. The boys kinda have us out of commission until theyre out of the baby beds. We could do it when they were in the little infant sleepers but they wont sleep without the beds now. Wife mentioned going for a weekend but we prob wont be out for a long haul until next summer.

Now why would anyone want to kill that snake?

Well, all these guys will gladly confront an armed robber with a pistol, but when it comes to a 2# snake, that has no legs to chase them, they are scared shitless. Must...kill...it...Makes no sense to me, but this is the OB.
