I never tried it there except it works saltwater w reds w crabs?
Actually these fish are getting wise to it over here. It's is almost not used like it was. In the nineties it was money on almost every lake in Texas and guides at Fork made their living rigging the deep timber there for years.
It is a technique that will work in 2 foot to 30 , just vary the weight and the length of the leader. I have tried to get them on it again, going back to mono leader say 12 lb instead of fluorocarbon. Sometimes it works but not often. Good luck
