Didn't realize he was getting this type of money. I need to go look over our cap situation. Haven't looked into it since the last few signings.

Lol if you only knew half the shite these guys have been saying about the Oden idea, when Chad and I have been saying this for weeks.

Actually, I do know. I started an Oden thread 3 weeks ago.

Doesn't negate the fact that you are still making a complete arse of yourself.

As a Pelican fan, Im not sure how the words "quality offer for Greg Oden" can excite you

Theres a reason this dude hasnt played professional basketball in 3 years

Exactly. I'd rather give Withey the 10 minutes a game that his knees can handle rather than wasting money and giving up a player to get Oden.

Lester Earl called me a horrible posted at my suggestion of Oden signing. Hell, even in the OP title i just said we should be interested. He then comes at me like a superior bag of dicks thats all jacked up on purple pills and you know what, it kind of hurt to have my basketball intellect insulted the way he did. Sometimes I feel like Dell runs into his office, locks the door, and does a view all my posts of chad504boy and reads them all. Comes out the office with an extra pimp in his step and Tom's like you're a fricking genius dell. I'm sitting back here getting ridiculed by the likes of Lester fricking Earl.

It won't effect the cap much. We were pretty much limited to the full MLE for next year anyway and we'd still have that. The main issue is possibly giving up useful players this year to make it happen.

The New Orleans meeting is expected to include Mickey Loomis, the Pelicans' head of basketball operations and the NFL Saints' executive vice president and general manager, as well as Pelicans GM Dell Demps and coach Monty Williams. The Pelicans are expected to offer a contract paying close to $3 million in the first season. At least three other teams are expected to offer similar money, a league source said

This is akin to me saying "If I could buy that powerball ticket and win millions of dollars, wow." Some of you are getting your hopes way too high that a guy with no knees left that hasn't played in the NBA in almost 3 years because of injuries will miraculously be healed and play at an All Star level. It's not happening. This will more than likely be a failed 1 year experiment no matter where he goes.

You seem like a cool guy. A sweet bro. A gentlemanly douche bag. But I'm glad you're having fun trolling a message board.

Don't even try to compare Gordon's health issues with Oden's.

Roberts and Miller combined aren't quite enough

I don't really want to get rid of Miller. He seems like a good bench player and a player we can develop into the future. I just trust Miller's future more than Oden's.

If we could sign him for minimum money without losing pieces, I'm for it. If we have to give up players and hurt our cap situation for more than two years, I'm not so sure.

I'm glad you got that off your chest. Happy to make you feel that way.
