SBD is a Straight to Ale Monkeynaut. They call it an IPA but it drinks like a stout to me.

Damn. Maybe you got a bad batch or are in your cups, but that is a straight up IPA.

FBD is an Oskar Blues Mama's Little Yella Pils.

Not a big fan of Czech pilsners, but has some good American hopping.

Beautiful day on the beach.

No beer yet. We are on lunch break from the guided art tour. It sux when you are as smart and sophisticated as I am. My ego wants to numb my brain and my id is a milled aluminum box.

I know--was just joking. I got called out earlier for calling a blonde/red ale a pale ale.

When I first tried that beer I was struggling to categorize it.

I like it.

FBD was a Stone Ruin Ten at The Chimes. $8 for a 20 oz draft. Works for me.

I had not read anything about it, but when I poured it and drank it I thought it was a pale ale. No way it seemed like a blonde.

They aren't going to make it. I love the no smoking, but that is not enough.

I just got back from JW Marriot resort/TPC San antonio yesterday...sounds like a similar joint. it was glorious

I like the Marriott chain. When I have to work out of town/out of state projects, I seek out any Marriott's to stay first. Obviously, client isn't going to fork up the $$ to house me in a JW type (I'm no OT baller). But the extended stay places are awesome for work stays, IMO, and very reasonably priced as well.

I remember reading your blog a few months back talking the place up. Funny how overpriced beers and having to buy an entree with a beer changes a man's opinion.

FWIW, I agree that they need to lower the price of the brews, and start putting their 100+ taps to better use.

Yep, I was excited about the potential. The execution has been extremely flawed. I'm serious, I'm done with the place until/unless I hear they've fixed things.
