Couple things; 1. wasnt a sucker punch he was in front of the guy. 2. The celebration was not nearly as bad as lead to believe. 3. pretty shitty on Hills part to involve himself in what appeared to be an already ongoing fight.

Was definitely a sucker punch. Not sure how you can say it wasn't.

That was most definitely a sucker punch. The dude was dazed and confused and couldn't see Hill coming. Same thing as kicking a man on the ground.

You obviously are biased. I believe the video shows that it was worse than reported. It was absolutely a sucker punch. Just because you run up from behind someone and get in front of them for a second before you swing doesnt make it "a clean hit". Also, the way it was reported left alot of room for self defense or just a reaction or the guy had it coming claims. Hill had plenty of time to think about what he was going to do and what he did. He didn't even seem angry, he seemed more excited that he had an excuse to hit a guy that surely didn't look like much of a threat. And that reaction wasn't one that he was thinking, "damn man, I'm on probation, that was a dumb thing to do". If the guy was seriously injured would your opinion be different? Jeremy Hill certainly didn't know if the guy was injured as he celebrated. I wish the best for Jeremy Hill and this shouldn't define his life but I certainly hope I do not see him on scholarship playing in a LSU uniform. Not just for this, but for the fact that he knew he had alot to lose after the first mistake and he took deliberate, intentional actions to put himself in trouble again.
