Wherever the ducks are! Lol. Really we hunt all over. Last year we spent early teal and the first week of LA west big duck on a buddy's oxbow just north of Shreveport. Teal were stacked in there like cordwood through the opening of big duck. Spent most of November on our public holes up and down about a 15 mile stretch of the Sulphur River between Naples and Douglassville, TX. Ended up spending the whole second split on our beaver pond over around Mt. Pleasant, TX. We only shot like 10% mallards last year, but its hard to complain when your stacking gray ducks up. The water level hasn't been right on Toledo in a couple of years, but when it gets under 166 (lower the better) in can get right. At one time or another I've hunted most public areas within a two hour drive from Shreveport (LA, TX, & AR). If you're looking for some insight give me a shout.

Gotcha, grew up in south bossier, now just across the river in south shreveport. I think we are going to do a little kayak paddling into some public spots (Loggy, Bodcau). I hunt a small private spot off Sligo, woodie honey hole.

If you're going to hunt Loggy Bayou, you're best bet is to get away from the bayou and hit the woods running. There are a couple of jam up holes out there that are difficult to get to, but if you're willing to put in the work it can be fantastic hunting. Just study Google Earth and you'll find them. A four wheeler helps a lot. Also that place isn't too big, make sure you know where you're at. It can be easy to venture of the WMA.

Bodau looks like something out of a Delta Waterfowl magazine, but sucks 95% of the time. It can however be really good when we get those 10-20 year floods like we did in '09. We did some work out there for about a month before word got out. Mercer Bayou/Sulphur River near Fouke is pretty much the same way, though it can be decent at times even in low water situations.

Killed a few on away from home trips. Haven't killed a black in Louisiana though. Killed a lot of mottled ducks over the years. A true black duck is a lot of fun to hunt. IMO hunting around Cape Cod is as fun as it gets.

Gdamn Palo you old frick. 04 grad here.

North and South Bossier sure have changed a bunch. The North Bossier I grew up in is such a cluster now. Can't go anywhere without running into BR-like traffic.

Damn Son, show some respect to your elders! I feel you on the traffic in North Bossier, I live right in the middle of this cluster. Bossier and Benton are the same place these days.

05 grad, palo you old brah.

South Bossier is where its at, but its getting congested too. I work off Shed Rd, so I get a little taste of the north bossier chaos every day.

Went to look at houses in NB/Benton last weekend, gotta pay to play up there for an sq footage or acreage.
