The beer list may be complacent but it is still leaps and bounds better than most causal dining places that I consider competitors ( i.e. Dempsey's, Sammy's, etc.). This is why it's my go to place. There's always something on the menu I can get and really enjoy. Some of their soups are really good. Blackened alligator is really good, as is the crawfish mac-n-cheese. Chimes club (blackened on a croissant) is a staple for me. Jalepeno burger has been really good of late.

I complain about the complacency of the beer menu, but in reality, there are about 2 places in town with a better draft selection. And they don't give me frosted pint glasses.

$8 for a 20 ounce imperial pint of Stone Ruin Ten is way better than what Pelican House is charging. Or you can get all their draft beers in a 10 ounce glass for less.
