This.

Minecraft was horribly dull. I tried to love it. People on here did. My friends did. But it was just tedious, and boring. To build anything cool would have taken hundreds of hours. I never saw the point.

I have enjoyed Minecraft for what it is (virtual Legos, basically) and plan to play it with my kids once they get a little older. However, it lacked the gameplay depth I wanted. This looks like it would fit that bill.

The more I look at this the more it reminds me of the PS3's 3D Dot Game Heroes but much broader, of course.

Also, while reading up on Cube World I found this site, which claims to have working download links for the game. This is a fan made site, though, so I'm thinking the file, assuming it even works and isn't a virus, is some sort of leaked alpha. Anyone who downloads it, be careful.
