Not directed at anyone in particular but for those of you in one of the local BR homebrew clubs how should I go about trying to get involved in that scene?

If you want to hook up with Bicycle Brew Club, I suggest showing up to the meeting, standing on the table, and peeing on Gus. Shows dominance.

But seriously, give some various club meetings some shots and see where you like it. All the clubs are good dudes and dudettes.

All you need to do is show up for one of the meetings and introduce yourself as a new brewer. All of the Baton Rouge clubs are very welcoming.

I'm in Redstick Brewmasters and we meet the first Thursday of the month @ George's on highland road @ 7:00.

Pretty much every other local homebrewer poster is in Brasseurs a la Maison. They meet on the second Wednesday of the month at the Cove @ 6:30.

If you have the ability I would suggest checking out both meetings and see what fits best for you.
