I don't have any interest in motion controlled gaming either, but it sounds like they are planning some other cool stuff outside the traditional waving limbs in front of the TV.
Also our generation gives zero fricks about this stuff because we didn't grow up with it. I still think this is the future of gaming for the generations behind us so I expect the camera to be included in the next revision of the PS4. Since it's expected to be a 10 yr console, it can make sense to not include it at first for the price advantage at launch but I'll probably drop $70 on it just to see what they have planned.
